چکیده

In this digest, we will present a methodology that allow us to accommodate the conducted Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) generated by power factor correctors to international standards in the design step. EMI filter design considerations and EMI predictive procedures are presented. The predictive procedures are based in a family of curves that allows us to determine the conducted Electromagnetic Interference (EMI), generated for the basic PFC converters (Boost, Buck-Boost, Zeta, Sepic, Cuk, and Buck converters). Using these curves we can determine the amplitude of the first harmonic in dB/μV in accordance with the CISPR 16 standard. Therefore, with this information it can be possible to design the EMI filter.

Novel Frequency Swapping Technique for Conducted Electromagnetic Interference Suppression in Power Converter Applications

Abstract: Quasi-resonant flyback (QRF) converters have been widely applied as the main circuit topology in power converters because of their low cost and high efficiency. Conventional QRF converters tend to generate higher average conducted electromagnetic interference (EMI) in the low-frequency domain due to the switching noise generated by power switches, resulting in the fact they can exceed...

The Analysis of Impedance Mismatch on the Conducted Emi Emission

This paper proposes the process to predict and analyze the conducted electromagnetic interference (EMI) emission using the impedance mismatch approach. Five steps of this process are introduced and analyzed. The impedance mismatch criterion is proposed based on current and voltage waveforms in time domain. The impedance mismatch fixtures and EMI measured results show how the relationship of imp...

Investigation of Electromagnetic Interference from a Pulsed Solid State Laser Power Supply

This paper investigates the near field, far field and conducted electromagnetic emissions in a pulsed power supply circuit for a flash lamp pumped solid-state laser amplifier. The power supply consists of a charging circuit, which energizes 300 μF of energy storage capacitor bank to 3 kV. The stored energy is discharged through a flash lamp in the form of pulsed current. It is a single shot eve...
